Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the free plan, pricing, InvoiceNow and GST InvoiceNow, moving your books across and keeping your data safe.
Getting started & the free plan
8Yes. The Starter plan is S$0 with no credit card required. It includes double-entry accounting, sales orders, unlimited InvoiceNow, GST InvoiceNow, 1 user and 100 MB of storage. You only pay when you need more users, inventory, approvals or other paid modules.
Starter is supported by advertising, so you may see sponsored content or partner offers inside the app. Your customers and suppliers never see third-party ads on the invoices or statements you send them, though Starter documents carry AveriWorks branding. Starter also has best-effort support and no company logo on documents.
Most businesses go from an empty workspace to their first invoice in an afternoon. Fill in your company profile, check the chart of accounts and financial year, add a bank account, then add customers and items as you need them.
No. The only things worth doing up front are your business details, your accounts and your financial year. Add a customer the first time you sell to them, and an item the first time you stock it.
A free account with no meaningful use for 90 consecutive days may be treated as inactive. We email you at least 14 days before suspending or deleting it. Logging in and working with records, reports or exports counts as use; simply receiving emails or incoming e-invoices does not.
Verification confirms the account is genuinely yours. Accounts not verified within 14 days of sign-up may be removed, and functions that send or receive documents from third parties may stay restricted until you verify.
Singapore SMEs that need more than an invoicing app: service firms billing clients, traders and distributors moving stock, growing teams that need roles and approvals, and GST-registered businesses that must use InvoiceNow. Most businesses are a mix — start free and add modules as you grow.
AveriWorks is operated by Zetta Solution Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201206718K), a Singapore-based software company incorporated in 2012.
Plans, pricing & billing
11The Starter plan is free. For current prices of the Business and Enterprise plans, add-ons and custom plans, see our pricing page.
Business adds inventory with FIFO or weighted-average costing, order processing (quotations, delivery orders, purchase orders, goods receipts), role management, branded print and email templates, data import and more users. Enterprise adds multi-currency, batch and serial tracking, bill of materials, approval workflows, recurring invoices, overdue reminders, bank statement import, low-stock alerts, stock forecast and action logs. See the full comparison on our pricing page.
Yes. Business and Enterprise both come with a 7-day free trial.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately, with the extra fee prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Moving down a plan removes the features, users and storage that plan doesn't include, so export anything you need first.
Yes. Extra users, storage and outlets can be bought as add-ons on any plan.
Optional features you bolt onto a plan, such as extra users, storage, outlets, quotation e-signature and point of sale. Add-ons may be billed separately from your subscription; see our pricing page for current prices.
Paid plans are charged automatically to the card or payment method you select, through our payment processor (such as Stripe). Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically.
Yes. Turn off automatic renewal in your account settings, or contact us, before your next renewal date. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
Fees already paid are non-refundable once the billing period starts, and unused capacity doesn't carry forward. That's why every paid plan has a 7-day trial — try it properly before you commit.
We will retry the payment and let you know. If it still fails after the grace period, your plan may be suspended, downgraded or converted to the free Starter plan, and paid features stop working.
Yes. Each subscription covers one legal entity, so separate companies need separate subscriptions. Talk to us about a custom plan if you run several entities.
InvoiceNow & GST InvoiceNow
16InvoiceNow is the Peppol network that delivers your invoice straight into your customer's accounting system. GST InvoiceNow is a separate channel that sends a copy of your invoice data to IRAS. You activate them separately, and you can have InvoiceNow without GST InvoiceNow.
Yes. Every plan, including Starter, comes with unlimited InvoiceNow, GST InvoiceNow, the InvoiceNow inbox and the GST submission and reconciliation reports.
Yes. Documents are transmitted over the Peppol network in the IRAS-required format, GST submissions are tracked with delivery confirmations, and reconciliation reports help you match your local records against IRAS.
It's created from your UEN or GST registration number when you activate InvoiceNow in System Manager › Company Profile. You'll need your registration number and tax number filled in, and someone with Corppass access to authorise it from the email we send.
The Corppass authorisation hasn't been completed yet. Check the inbox of the email you entered during activation, including spam, and have someone with Corppass access for your company approve it.
Yes. Your previous provider de-registers your Peppol ID first, then you activate InvoiceNow in AveriWorks and it is registered again. Until that happens, activation here will be rejected because your number already exists on the network.
No. Sending is per document and never automatic. Once an invoice is confirmed, click Submit GST InvoiceNow when you're ready. Nothing goes out until you choose to send it.
The invoice still goes to IRAS through GST InvoiceNow. Send your customer their copy as usual by email or print. If the customer is on the network, they receive the e-invoice directly, with a copy to IRAS.
We look up their InvoiceNow ID automatically from their registration number. If they're on the network, the ID shows against them in Sales › Customer.
If you're required to submit them, yes — open the confirmed supplier invoice or supplier credit note and click Submit GST InvoiceNow. Purchase documents go to IRAS only; nothing is sent to the supplier.
No. A delivered e-invoice can't be recalled, so it can't be reset to draft or deleted. Correct it the way you would a paper invoice: raise a credit note and send that through InvoiceNow too.
A failed transmission doesn't lock the document. Read the error on the document's InvoiceNow tab, fix the cause — often the customer's registration number or billing address — and submit again. Only resubmit documents whose latest status is Failed, or the customer and IRAS receive a second copy.
Pending means it's waiting for the network to pick it up. Sent means the network accepted it. Delivered means it was received and there's nothing more to do. Failed means it was rejected, and the reason shows on the document's InvoiceNow tab.
Yes, on paid plans. GST InvoiceNow › Bulk Submission sends up to 200 documents in one go — useful for retail volumes or resending a batch of corrected failures.
Yes. Documents other businesses send you over InvoiceNow land in InvoiceNow › Inbox, ready to post and respond to.
Yes. Deactivate GST InvoiceNow first (authorised in Corppass), then deactivate InvoiceNow. Leaving removes your Peppol ID from the network until you register again, here or with another provider. Documents you already sent stay locked.
Invoicing the Singapore Government (B2G)
5Yes. Set the agency up as a government customer with its UEN and Business Unit, then invoice as normal. The invoice goes to the agency's own InvoiceNow ID or, if it has none, to the Accountant-General's Department (AGD), which routes it on.
Your Vendor ID from Vendors@Gov, saved in the InvoiceNow section of your Company Profile, plus an InvoiceNow contact email. On each invoice you'll also need a valid AGD payment term, the Business Unit, an Attention To name and a description.
AGD checks more than an ordinary customer does. Common causes: a date in the future or more than 7 days back, a reference number over 27 characters or with spaces, line discounts, an attachment over 1 MB, or a missing Business Unit or payment term. AveriWorks flags most of these when you save.
AGD doesn't accept line or group discounts. Add the discount as a separate line with a negative quantity instead.
All GST-registered businesses must submit invoice data to IRAS using InvoiceNow-Ready Solutions. This is mandatory and will be rolled out in phases. For more information, see the IRAS website.
Accounting, GST & closing the books
5Twenty-plus live reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Trial Balance, GL Activity, AR and AP Aging, Statement of Account, Tax Return and Bank Activity. Business and above add stock and sales profit reports. Every report exports to Excel or PDF.
Yes. It's full double-entry accounting with a standard chart of accounts you can rename and extend, and every sale, purchase and payment posts to the ledger automatically. The simplest setup is to invite your accountant as a user with a suitable role.
Lock the period in System Manager › Financial Period once you've checked your Trial Balance and P&L. Nothing dated in a locked month can be created, changed or deleted. You can unlock it to make a correction, then lock it again.
Yes, on every plan. Enterprise also lets you import bank statements as CSV or OFX and accept suggested matches in one click, then lock the period once reconciled.
On Enterprise, yes. Schedule reminder emails for overdue invoices and attach a statement of account automatically.
Sales, purchases & documents
10Yes. A quotation becomes a sales order, then a delivery order, then an invoice; a purchase order becomes a goods receipt, then a supplier invoice. Each step carries its lines forward and keeps a linked audit trail. Quotations and order documents need the Business plan or above.
Both. You can send several deliveries against one order and put them on a single invoice, or invoice an order in parts and deliver afterwards.
AveriWorks checks each supplier invoice against its purchase order and goods receipt, so price and quantity differences are caught before they reach your accounts.
Yes. Quotation e-signature is available as an add-on on Business and Enterprise.
Usually one of five reasons: its month is locked, its GST period is filed, a later document was created from it, a payment has been matched to it, or it was sent over InvoiceNow. The on-screen message names the reason and a short code.
If goods are coming back, raise a delivery return to put the stock back. To adjust what the customer owes, raise a credit note against the invoice. A full return usually needs both — but keep the credit note's stock toggle off if a delivery return already brought the goods back, or they'll be counted twice.
No. Customers and suppliers can't be deleted, because past documents refer to them. Switch them off with the Active toggle; they stay in your history and stop appearing on new documents.
Yes, on Business and above plans. Add your logo, remove the AveriWorks watermark, and customise print layouts and email templates per document type (2 per type on Business, unlimited on Enterprise). Business and above can also show a PayNow QR code.
Yes, on Enterprise. Useful for retainers, rentals and subscriptions you bill on a fixed schedule.
Yes, on Enterprise. Multi-tier approvals route quotations and purchase orders to the right people based on value.
Inventory, POS & multi-currency
7Yes, from the Business plan. Every receipt, issue, transfer and adjustment moves stock in real time and posts its cost to the ledger. Business includes stock transfers, stock takes and stock reports; Enterprise adds batch, serial and expiry tracking, low-stock alerts and stock forecasting.
FIFO and weighted average, on Business and above. Enterprise also lets you set the cost method per item.
Yes. Each item can have prices per unit of measure, with price breakpoints and customer-specific pricing.
Yes. Each plan includes 1 outlet, and more can be added. Outlets have their own document numbering, payment modes and reporting, and you can limit staff to the outlets they work in.
A full-screen POS terminal with sessions, split payments, refunds, Z-reports and daily bank collections is coming soon as an add-on for every plan.
Yes, on Enterprise. Switch on the currencies you trade in, and daily rates fill in automatically (you can type over them). Exchange gains and losses post themselves when invoices are settled and at period-end revaluation.
No. Your base currency is set when the workspace is created and every figure is recorded in it, so it can't be changed afterwards. Check it carefully before you start trading.
Moving from another system
4Yes, on Business and above. The import wizard brings in your chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, stock items and opening balances — trial balance, unpaid invoices and opening stock — from CSV or Excel files up to 10 MB.
Accounts first, then customers and suppliers, then stock items, then opening balances. Importing out of order is the most common reason every row fails.
Nothing is written until the final step, and the review screen shows which rows have problems. Download the error report, fix those rows and upload again. Re-importing the same file updates existing records by their code rather than creating duplicates.
Yes, as a paid professional service quoted separately. Customisations, reports and integrations from your old system aren't carried over automatically. Keep your old system's records until you've confirmed the migration is complete.
Team, roles & security
8Starter includes 1 user, Business 3 and Enterprise 8. Extra users can be added to any paid plan.
Yes. Business includes 3 roles and Enterprise unlimited roles, each deciding who can view, create and approve. You can also limit someone to certain outlets, or only to documents where they're the named salesperson or purchaser.
Deactivate them the same day. They can no longer sign in, but their name stays on the documents they raised, so your audit trail stays intact.
No. The workspace owner always keeps full access and can't be restricted by a role change, so a mistake in a role can always be undone.
Yes, on every plan, including Starter.
Business includes authentication logs showing who signed in and when. Enterprise adds action logs recording every create, change and void by person.
Yes, your accountant is considered as one seat.
Zetta Solution is ISO27001 certified.
Your data, privacy & ads
7You do. Your business records, transactions, customer and supplier lists stay yours. We process them only to run and support the service for you, acting as a data intermediary under Singapore's PDPA.
Yes. Every company runs on its own isolated database, not a shared one with row filters. Your chart of accounts, transactions and attachments are physically separated from every other company on AveriWorks.
We never sell or share personal data, raw business records, customer or supplier lists, or pricing that can be traced to your business. Advertisers never get access to your records, and free-plan ads are chosen from broad account information such as your industry and the modules you use. Anonymised, aggregated statistics from many businesses may be used for benchmarks and industry insights, under strict rules against re-identification.
Only after it has been aggregated and anonymised so it can't identify you, your customers or any transaction. Identifiable business data and personal data are never used to train or fine-tune AI models.
No. Third-party ads appear only to you and your team inside the app. Documents sent from the free plan may carry a "Powered by AveriWorks" notice, which paid plans can remove.
Yes. Reports export to Excel and PDF at any time, and after a subscription ends you can export your data during the retrieval period. We recommend exporting important records regularly, as you would with any system.
No. We never use the contacts in your records for our own marketing. Invoices, reminders and statements go to them only when you send them.
Support & customisation
4Start with the Help Center, which has step-by-step guides for every part of the system. If you're still stuck, raise a ticket from Support › Support Ticket inside the app. When an error shows a short code, include it — it tells us exactly which rule stopped you.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Singapore time, excluding public holidays. Starter support is best effort; Business aims to respond within 3 business days, Enterprise within 1 business day, and custom plans can have their own SLA.
AveriWorks subscriptions run on one standard, proven workflow, and you configure it with roles, templates, numbering and defaults rather than custom code. If your business needs bespoke features or a dedicated environment, Zetta Solution offers a separate fully customised solution — contact sales.
Yes. Onboarding, data migration, configuration and training are available as paid professional services, quoted separately. Custom plans include priority onboarding.
